The ideal candidate has 3+ years of field experience, owns essential tools, and can operate company service vehicles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience repairing heavy equipment and knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company service vehicles.
• Ability to perform basic and complex diagnostics on equipment and communicate repairs to shop supervisor and customer.
• Diagnostics and repairs include electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and diesel systems.
• UnderCarriage component knowledge.
• Proficient computer skills for reporting issues.
• Must be able to use computer or tablet for diagnostics and data entry.
• Assist in maintaining and cleaning shop area, tools and company vehicles.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and parts personnel.
• Skilled in operating/heavy equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Must have own tools.

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for the efficient repair of heavy equipment machinery and components. may work independently to perform basic and complex diagnostics, inspections, maintenance and service repairs on internally owned equipment at high levels of quality. Work must be completed in a safe, professional and timely manner. Daily duties will include regular customer contact, diagnosing, troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and making repairs.

Requirements

• 3+years experience working on heavy equipment, proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of equipment
• A valid Driver's License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Status to operate company service vehicles
• Must be able to perform basic/complex diagnostics on equipment to determine required repairs and communicate future repairs to the shop supervisor and customer
• Diagnostics and repairs will include, but not limited to, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and diesel repairs
• Undercarriage component knowledge
• Must have computer skills for reporting technical issues
• Must be able to use a computer or tablet as a tool for diagnostics as well as data entry
• Must assist in maintaining and cleaning shop area, tools, and company vehicles
• Must work collaboratively with other technicians and parts personnel
• Skilled in operating and inspecting heavy equipment or machines to diagnose malfunctions or defects
• Must have own tools

Preferred

• Forklift experience
• Welding or soldering broken parts by using gas or electric welders
• Manages time effectively

Physical Demands

To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to frequently lift and carry objects up to 75lbs
