Job summary

McCoy Group Services, LLC is seeking a certified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our field team in Louisiana. You will diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on a range of heavy equipment and perform field service as needed.

This hands-on role requires independence, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety. Experience with excavators and construction equipment is preferred, and welding can be a plus.

Job description

We are looking for a certified, qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. We need someone dependable, experienced, and able to work independently on a variety of heavy equipment and mechanical repairs.

This is a hands-on position for an all-around mechanic who knows their way around heavy equipment and isn't afraid to get the job done.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment
• Work on excavators and other construction equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Change and repair tires, rims, and wheels
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
• Perform field repairs and service work
• Welding and fabrication as needed
• Keep equipment running safely and efficiently
• Help with general mechanical repairs as needed

Equipment & Tools

We have a fully equipped service truck on site, including:

• Welding machine
• Small crane
• Extensive selection of tools
• Equipment and supplies needed for field repairs

Qualifications

• Certified and/or qualified heavy equipment mechanic
• Previous experience working on heavy equipment required
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with excavators and construction equipment
• Able to change tires and rims
• Welding experience is a plus
