Job summary

VOLLERS is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our fleet operations in New Jersey. The role focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment to maximize uptime and safety, with a standard 40-hour week and overtime as needed.

You will work in a clean, safe shop, using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues and ensuring accurate service records. A valid driver’s license, 3–5 years of diesel repair experience, and the ability to lift 50 lbs are

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment or diesel repair.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer’s and company standards.
  • Repair or replace defective parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulic components, and undercarriages.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our fleet operations. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our heavy equipment to ensure maximum up time, safe operations, and support field productivity. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week and overtime as needed based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer's and company standards.
  • Repair or replace defective parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulic components, and undercarriages.
