Job summary

Rycoe Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on our heavy and medium-duty fleet. This role offers real responsibility and the opportunity to have a measurable impact on fleet reliability and uptime.

Work in a modern shop environment, follow PM schedules, diagnose issues with appropriate tools, and document all maintenance activities. A NYS driver’s license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostic methods.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools commonly used in vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to report on vehicle conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspection and maintenance on company vehicles and follow PM schedules to avoid preventable downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Perform repairs and replacements on various vehicle components, including brakes, engines and transmissions.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on vehicles and provide updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in maintenance procedures while maintaining a clean, well-organized shop.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and new technologies to enhance repair services.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the company and ensure efficient operations.
