Job summary

Koppers Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain stationary and mobile equipment across the facility. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and enhancing equipment performance in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on heavy equipment experience, an associate/technical degree or related experience, and proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft tools. Outdoor work and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree, technical degree in related field, or related experience.
  • 5+ years of technical field-related experience specific to heavy equipment and related certifications.
  • 3+ years training employees in mobile heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintenance of stationery and mobile heavy equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, inspect, and repair equipment to improve performance.
  • Operate CMMS for work orders, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Assist in maintaining parts stocking levels and equipment safety practices.

Job ResponsibilitiesThe Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of stationery and mobile equipment throughout the facility. Their technical acumen will be key in trouble shooting, diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and enhancing the equipment's performance, contributing significantly to the facilities’ success.
