Koppers Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain heavy equipment across our facilities. You will diagnose, inspect, and improve equipment performance while working safely in a fast-paced environment.
The role requires troubleshooting, schematic reading, and strong problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft applications is essential, as is the ability to work both independently and in a team.
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of stationery and mobile equipment throughout the facility. Their technical acumen will be key in trouble shooting, diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and enhancing the equipment's performance, contributing significantly to the facilities’ success. The position requires the individual to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment including testing, diagnosis, hydraulic, brakes, electrical systems and modules, drive trains and axle/hub repairs. Ability to work alone and in a team environment operation and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment. Able to work safely and follow company rules and procedures.
