Job summary

Bulk Equipment Corp. in Crawfordsville, IN is seeking an Operating Technician to provide 24‑hour mill maintenance and safely operate refractory tearout equipment at customer sites.

The role requires 1–3 years of heavy equipment experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, perform routine inspections, and document work orders using our maintenance software.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience operating heavy equipment (excavators) and tearout equipment
• 1–3 years mechanical experience with hydraulics, powertrain, diesel and electrical systems
• Proficient with diagnostic software; intermediate computer skills
• Valid driver's license with clean record
• Experience running tearout machines including LG and Gradall
• Familiarity with furnace operations and safety hazards
• Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Based in Crawfordsville, IN 47933

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment at customer sites
• Perform routine inspections and services on equipment
• Operate refractory Tearout equipment safely (LAG, Gradall, KT Grant)
• Complete pre-shift inspections and grease equipment at the start of each shift
• Complete required work orders accurately using company maintenance management software
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by understanding and addressing customer needs
• Respond to service calls promptly
• Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements
• Be on time for scheduled shifts and punch in/out on BULK clock-in platform
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Abide by BULK safety and mill procedures; support downtime maintenance
• Create parts lists and communicate with site management/purchasing
• Maintain required certifications and licenses
• Keep company assets in working order
• Perform other related duties as assigned
