Job summary

Town of Nantucket seeks a Maintenance Technician to join the Public Works Department. Under the Central Fleet Manager, you will perform skilled maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment, including dump trucks, snowplows, bulldozers, and loaders.

Requires a high school diploma and up to three years in grounds/roadway maintenance; Class D license; Hoisting License and CDL B with tanker endorsement within two years.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to three years of grounds and roadway maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform a wide range of skilled maintenance work on vehicles and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain work vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Operate light and heavy motor equipment.
• Service and maintain trucks and equipment; use power and hand tools.
