The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervisor I manages preventative maintenance and repairs for all vehicles and motorized equipment. This role supervises Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technicians and other staff. Responsibilities include:
Employees are considered essential and may be on call 24/7 to maintain operations. They may work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The position reports to the Chief Facility Maintenance Officer or designated official. The current vacancy is in Baltimore, MD, but the eligible list may be used for other locations.

Education: High school diploma or equivalency
Experience: Five years servicing, maintaining, and repairing motor vehicles or heavy-duty equipment, with at least three years involving heavy-duty construction equipment and diesel engines.
Relevant experience can substitute for education; completion of accredited training or military experience can also be considered. Certification by ASE can substitute for education/experience requirements.
Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or B CDL in Maryland. Additional certifications may be required, such as Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician III or Air Conditioning Recycling and Recovery.
