Job summary

Carolina CAT is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Lube Technician to perform preventive maintenance and lube system repairs on heavy construction equipment. This role requires frequent customer interaction and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of PM intervals, be self-motivated, and proficient with diagnostic tools and Caterpillar telematics. A valid GED and experience with major brands are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop own work schedule and adjust to job needs.
• Knowledge of safety, service, and parts manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect machines/equipment to enable lubrication and PM services.
• Complete all services accurately, safely and timely to meet productivity goals.
• Review PM intervals and schedules.
• Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic in all weather conditions.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Safely operate and maintain the lube truck.
• Install and configure Product Link hardware and telematics on Caterpillar equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and service documentation.
• Use laptop-based diagnostic tools and mobile technology effectively.
• Utilize VisionLink, CAT Inspect, Service Link, EMT, SIS, and other dealership platforms.
• Continuously learn as machine models evolve to improve knowledge.
