Job summary

Carolina CAT is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Lube Technician to perform preventative maintenance and lube system repairs on heavy construction equipment. The role involves significant customer interaction and requires strong service skills.

The position requires ability to read PM intervals, operate a lube truck, and use diagnostic tools. Training in telematics and CAT systems is part of daily work, with focus on reliability and safety in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent and 1–3 years of related experience or combination of training and experience with Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, etc.
• Ability to comprehend safety, service, and parts manuals.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar telematics and connectivity solutions.
• Able to climb in, on, and around equipment; be flexible for awkward reaches.
• Must be able to bring / own tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect machines/equipment to gain access for lubrication and PM services.
• Complete all services accurately, safely and in a timely manner to meet productivity goals.
• Ability to review and understand PM intervals and schedules.
• Install, configure, and commission Product Link hardware and related telematics devices on Caterpillar and allied equipment.
• Utilize Caterpillar dealer systems, VisionLink, CAT Inspect, Service Link, EMT, SIS, and other dealership platforms as required.
• Continuously research and learn as machine models change.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to service excellence.
• Other duties as assigned.
