Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a non-exempt Heavy Equipment Operator to operate backhoes, pavers, dozers, scrapers, pans and graders at our Virginia project. You will follow plans with the field manager and ensure safe, accurate completion of assignments on time.

You must maintain the equipment, perform routine maintenance, and emphasize safety and teamwork on site. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years equipment operating experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or GED is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment (backhoes, pavers, dozers, scrapers, pans, graders) safely and efficiently.
• Discuss daily plans with field manager and determine safe, accurate completion of tasks.
• Perform equipment maintenance: cleaning, greasing and oiling machinery.
