Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Lowboy Driver to haul heavy construction equipment between North Carolina project sites. You will operate lowboy trailers and other trucks, perform daily vehicle inspections, and ensure on-time delivery while adhering to safety regulations.

The role supports grading and paving crews and may involve assisting field crews with general construction tasks. Typical shifts are 8–14 hours, Monday–Friday, with overtime and occasional nights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Experience hauling heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Tanker and HazMat endorsements preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle, including lowboy trailers.
• Transport heavy construction equipment between job sites.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation.
• Secure equipment properly for safe transportation.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle.
• Assist construction crews with tasks as needed.
