Job description

Abernethy Contracting is seeking a Lowboy Driver. The ideal candidate will, at a minimum:

• Drive and haul material AND equipment.
• Follow all DOT Regulations.
• Perform truck inspections and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Track and document activities.
• Use mobile phone with GPS.
• Follow all safety protocols.
• Respect and follow leadership and directions from supervisor.
• Treat co-workers, subcontractors and customers with respect and professionalism.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Three to five years of experience in commercial driving, with construction experience a plus.
• Must have experience with the following: Oversize Hauling, Paving Equipment and Dirt Equipment.
• Ability to work at high production rates.
• Must possess a Class A Drivers License.
• Possess a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to pass Clearing House Screening.
• Ability to pass DOT Drug and Alcohol Screening.
• Commitment to safe work practices.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Seven-day availability if needed.
