Job summary

APAC Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a qualified Equipment and Machine Operator to safely operate heavy equipment used in pit and mining operations.

You will report to management and ensure a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues while following OSHA and MSHA procedures. The ideal candidate has two to five years of loader operation experience and construction exposure, with willingness to travel and work nights or weekends when required.

Qualifications

• Two to five years’ loader operation experience.
• Construction field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in pit and mining operations.
• Report any problems to your manager.
• Operator will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers.
• When working with co-workers, maintain constant eye contact when backing, communicate using hand signals or other movements.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe procedures and environment.
• Follow Foreman directions for daily tasks and project-specific expectations.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; refer major problems to Foreman.
• Perform daily pre– and post-inspections with documentation per policies.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees on operations, servicing and repair.
• Perform general labor duties when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
