Job summary

WARNER CONSTRUCTION, INC. is seeking a Fuel & Lube Technician to fuel, lubricate, service, and perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and support vehicles on civil construction projects in Boise, Idaho.

The role ensures equipment uptime, safe jobsite operations, and DOT/Hazmat compliance. Responsibilities include operating service trucks, fueling machinery, performing routine lubrication, inspecting systems, keeping accurate records, and coordinating with site supervisors.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Ability to operate fuel/lube trucks and construction equipment safely.
• Basic computer and mobile device skills for maintenance tracking.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate fuel and lube service trucks on construction sites and public roadways.
• Fuel heavy construction equipment, generators, and support trucks.
• Perform routine lubrication per manufacturer schedules and maintenance calendar.
• Check and replenish engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, DEF, transmission fluid, and grease points.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report issues.
• Complete preventative maintenance including filter changes and fluid servicing.
• Maintain records of fuel usage, inventories, and service activities.
• Transport fuels and hazardous materials following DOT/Hazmat rules.
• Inspect fueling equipment and respond to spills with containment procedures.
• Coordinate with operators and supervisors on maintenance needs.
• Follow OSHA/DOT/Hazmat environmental regulations.
