Job summary

Muller, Inc. is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator/Foreman to lead a small crew and operate earthmoving equipment on site in Manassas, VA.

You will grade, excavate, load, haul, trench, and set up stormwater installations to support earthwork projects. Responsibilities include running excavators, mini excavators and bobcats, reading grade sheets, installing erosion controls, and coordinating with clients to ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Ability to operate mini excavators and/or bobcats; full-size excavators, loaders or dozers a plus.
• Must be able to communicate with clients and manage crew members.
• Must have reliable transportation and a current Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (excavators, mini excavators, bobcats) and lead a small crew daily.
• Install erosion control measures (silt fence, super silt fence).
• Excavate and construct bioretention facilities, rain gardens, ponds, sediment basins and other stormwater BMPs.
• Muck out and re-grade ponds.
• Read grade sheets and stakeout readings; shoot grades.
• Install underdrains on road projects.
• Undertake other grading/excavation tasks as requested by clients.
