Job summary
Mechanics Hub in Agawam, MA is seeking a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and specialized concrete-cutting equipment. You will diagnose and perform preventive maintenance and respond to field service calls.
Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems across fleet and construction equipment. The role offers year-round work, day shift with flexible hours, overtime opportunities, and benefits
Qualifications
- Hands-on mechanical experience with vehicles, heavy equipment, or related repair environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to diagnose unfamiliar equipment problems and develop practical repair solutions.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair trucks, trailers, pickups, heavy equipment, and specialized construction equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and pre-inspections ahead of state inspections.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues across fleet and construction equipment.
- Maintain hydraulic and electric concrete-cutting equipment, including road saws, wall saws, and core drills.
- Assist with equipment modifications, fabrication, and custom repair solutions when needed.
- Complete field service and road calls as necessary while maintaining a safe, organized shop.
