Job summary
Mechanics Hub in Wakefield, MA is seeking a Diesel Truck Mechanic to repair and maintain diesel trucks and heavy equipment. Ideal candidates have hands-on diesel, electrical, and hydraulic repair experience. Day shift with overtime opportunities and competitive pay are offered.
Responsibilities include diagnosing engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and accurate documentation. CDL is preferred; company provides some tools and uniforms.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy-truck mechanic, or similar technician.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues using diagnostic tools.
- Read and interpret repair manuals and diagnostic reports.
- Must provide basic personal tools; specialty tools are provided.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, and related truck components.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections, including brakes and suspensions.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
- Complete repair orders, estimates, and parts lists accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized shop environment.
- Follow established safety procedures and industry-standard repair practices.
