Lonestar Forklift, Inc. in Odessa, Texas is seeking a Field Technician (Heavy Equipment Mechanic) to join the Service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of material handling equipment, communicating with customers and coordinating with the Parts department.

The role is onsite in Odessa with base pay ranging from $41.00 to $48.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, life, disability coverage, and 401K matching.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience.
• Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines is a strong asset.
• Trade Certification is an asset.
• Aerial platform and lift truck experience is preferred.
• Strong communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites in the region.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on material handling equipment.
• Communicate with the Service Dispatcher about ongoing jobs and timelines.
• Discuss service details with customers and clarify repair requirements.
• Coordinate parts orders with Parts department and prep parts for visits.
• Document work orders and warranty paperwork.
• Report safety incidents and follow all safety policies.
