Job summary

Bejac Corporation is seeking an experienced heavy equipment diesel mechanic for field service at our Placentia, CA location. Overtime is a must due to high workload. Responsibilities include servicing equipment in the shop or at job sites and meeting flat rate repair times.

Required are at least 3 years in heavy equipment maintenance, welding, hydraulic and electrical experience, and ability to lift 75 lb. A clean DMV record and Class B license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience maintaining/servicing heavy equipment.
• Equipment dealership background ideal.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs unassisted.
• Welding experience.
• Hydraulic & electrical experience.
• Mid-level diagnostic ability.
• Ability to repair major components such as axles, engines, and transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Service customer equipment in shop or at customer’s jobsite.
• Capable of completing jobs at or under manufacturer’s published flat rate repair times.
• Plan work and complete route maintenance services without supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Work under pressure independently and as a team player.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Mid-level diagnostic ability

Ability to do repairs such as welding, R & R of major components such as axles, engines, and transmissions

Ability to perform repairs on components and attachments such as hammers and shears

Engine certifications a plus

Ability to understand instructions, written and verbal

Possess a clean and valid Class B driver’s license, recent K4 printout required

Must be detail oriented

Ability to multi-task

Excellent customer service and communication skills
