Job summary

MasterTech is seeking a Field Service Mechanic in the Sterling Heights, MI area to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment across the Greater Detroit Area. The role covers construction, forestry, and mining equipment with a focus on reliability and safety.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years as a Diesel Mechanic and experience with diagnostic software; CDL A/B is preferred. Compensation includes hourly wages, retirement savings, PTO, and company-provided truck, gas card, and cell phone.

Qualifications

• Four or more years as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Experience with diverse heavy equipment types.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with diagnostic software (Cummins InSite, DDDL, JPro, CAT ET, Service Advisor).
• CDL A or B preferred; welding/fabrication useful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment across the Greater Detroit Area.
• Work on construction, forestry, agricultural, and mining equipment.
• Ensure safety and reliability of equipment in the field.
