Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician

Overview

Join one of the largest equipment dealers in North America! We are seeking a Technician/Mechanic with experience in diesel, agricultural, or heavy equipment repair to be part of our team. Technicians are vital to our organization, and we provide the tools and resources necessary for success:

Job Responsibilities

• Complete inspections, repairs, and maintenance of equipment
• Remove and install parts, implement accessories
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing
• Maintain the service truck and manage inventory of parts
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of heavy equipment repair experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of engines, power trains, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Own tools required
• Positive attitude and high energy
• Clean driving record
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Volvo VCADS
• Effective communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
• Basic math skills and reasoning ability

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regular standing, walking, hand use; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling
• Lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and over 50 pounds occasionally
• Work near moving mechanical parts, in outdoor weather, and in humid or wet conditions
