A leading company in the heavy equipment repair industry is seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic. In this role, you will inspect, service, and maintain a variety of machinery, ensuring optimal performance while providing excellent customer service. Applicants should have proven experience as a mechanic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. We are looking to hire a highly experienced Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to inspect, service, and maintain a wide variety of excavation equipment, forklifts, man lifts, tele-handlers, trucks, trailers, rock crushers, etc. As a mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting engines and equipment, complete services, conducting repairs, diagnostic, hydraulic, electrical, welding & fabrication, and have diagnostic capabilities on pretty much anything out there.
To ensure success as a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic, you should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues on the job site.
Must have at least 2 references.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy equipment and industrial machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of all equipment.
- Align and adjust machinery components as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Utilize electrical diagnostics tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Conduct heavy lifting and suspension work safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Weld and fabricate components as necessary to repair or fabricate parts for equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of parts used on a daily basis.
Qualifications- Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment or industrial machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment diagnostics tools and techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job duties.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Welding experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license is required to perform job duties.
