Job description

Maintaining and repairing a large fleet of excavating equipment. Must be familiar with electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine repairs on heavy yellow iron equipment, and understand track equipment and under carriage repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assess and categorize which repairs are most critical with input from field operators and supervisors.
• Diagnose problems
• Determine options for repair/replace
• Order parts and schedule machine shop work
• Maintain paperwork and provide detailed repair notes
• Work efficiently to repair equipment
• Get along with others
• Have fun doing all the above

Qualifications

We are looking for a mechanic with experience repairing and maintaining heavy excavating equipment, mainly yellow iron and trucks. They need to be self-directed, punctual, dependable, and easy to get along with.
