Responsibilities

1. Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
2. Conduct diagnostics and repairs in the field as required.
3. Maintain accurate inventory of parts on the service vehicle.
4. Mentor Service Technician and Apprentice Technicians.
5. Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities.
6. Ensure billable time and work orders are accurately recorded.
7. Document diagnostics and repairs thoroughly and submit on time.
8. Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs for skill development.
9. Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment.
10. Keep work area clean and organized.
11. Follow all safety rules and regulations.
12. Stay current with John Deere and competitive products knowledge.

Physical Demands

This role involves active physical work including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, climbing, and lifting items up to 50 lbs. The employee must use both hands/arms for operating equipment and securing loads. Reasonable accommodations will be discussed if needed under the ADA.

Minimum Requirements

1. 4+ years of experience in service repairs.
2. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
3. Ability to perform complex repairs with specialized tools.
4. Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
5. Proficiency with computers, vehicles, and equipment.
6. Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
7. Preferred: Advanced or Master Service Technician certification.
8. Preferred: Forklift certification.
9. High school diploma or equivalent.
10. Valid Driver’s License.
