Job summary

McGeorge Contracting Co., Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and service on equipment at jobsites around Central Arkansas. The role requires troubleshooting, safe operation, and the ability to travel daily to sites across the region.

The position expects a minimum of two years of heavy equipment mechanic experience, with CDL preferred but not required. Applicants must have hand tools and a valid driver's license; a DOT Physical is required to obtain

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and service on heavy equipment located on jobsites.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair accordingly.
• Work 50 hours per week minimum with some Saturdays.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and productive operation of equipment.
• Travel to job sites around Central Arkansas as required.

Job description

As a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic, the employee performs a full range of maintenance, repair and service activities on heavy equipment located on jobsites around Central Arkansas . This mechanic will troubleshoot malfunctions in the equipment and repair accordingly . Must work safely, efficiently, and productively. CDL is preferred but not required. Pay is commensurate with experience (within posted pay range). Competitive benefit package available after waiting period which includes health, wellness, dental, Rx, life insurance, and 401k plan.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of two years heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Must be willing to travel around Central Arkansas on a daily basis.
• Must have hand tools.
• Must have a Valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical (to obtain a Health Card with McGeorge).
• Must be willing and able to work 50 hours per week minimum with some Saturdays.
