Job summary

Clark Construction is seeking a skilled heavy equipment drill operator for on-site work at a busy construction site in the Washington, DC area. You will operate industrial gear, prepare and move materials, and coordinate with teammates to meet project specs while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with diverse heavy equipment, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must join the local union.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating a variety of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure accurate removal and placement of materials.
• Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.
• Observing stipulated safety codes at all times.
• Communicating with coworkers to elucidate project specifications as needed.
• Reporting injuries and other accidents to the line manager.
• Advising the line manager of requisite upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
• Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
• Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.
