Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a skilled heavy equipment drill operator for on-site work in Washington, DC. You will operate and maneuver heavy machinery to move materials safely and efficiently, follow safety guidelines, and communicate with team members to meet project specs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, union membership, and prior experience with heavy equipment. Lifting up to 50 pounds and extended hours may be required; a drug-free workplace is enforced.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment.
  • Must join the local union.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent vision or prescribed lenses.
  • Sound knowledge of pertinent safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Maneuvering heavy equipment to ensure accurate removal and placement of materials.
  • Loading and unloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.
  • Observing safety codes at all times.
  • Communicating with coworkers to elucidate project specifications as needed.
  • Reporting injuries and accidents to the line manager.
  • Advising on upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
  • Aiding coworkers to keep the site clean and organized at shift end.
  • Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.
