Key Responsibilities
- Use appropriate hand (e.g., screwdriver, drill) and power tools (e.g., air drill, impact wrench) to repair, replace, or maintain equipment.
- Receive equipment, document its condition, schedule maintenance, and keep service records.
- Operate and inspect machinery or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
- Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and fueling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose faults using engine diagnostic tools, including computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear with micrometers and gauges.
- Adjust and maintain industrial machinery using control and regulating devices.
- Repair and replace damaged parts; fabricate parts from sheet metal as needed.
- Safely dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Clean parts with grease solvent or by immersion.
- Weld or solder broken parts and structural members using electric or gas welders.
- Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Maintain parts inventory for repairs and services.
- Test equipment post-repair to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.
- Read and interpret operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Fit bearings and perform overhauls on mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Assist equipment operators with daily inspections and ensure safety policies are followed.
- Ensure equipment is ready for the next assignment before leaving the job site or warehouse.
- May act as a lead or supervise others, including training and performance management.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in safety processes, promote zero injuries, and report hazards or incidents.
- Follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, and attend safety training.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Management Responsibilities
Acts as a 'lead person' without formal management authority over team members.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or some college experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications
- At least 7 years of mechanic experience with advanced technical skills
- At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience
- Knowledge of industrial construction equipment, tools, and maintenance
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
- Own all necessary tools
- Minimum age of 18
- Class A CDL within 6 months of hire (or ability to obtain)
- Pre-employment screening including background, drug test, and MVR
Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Travel may be required
- Work in various environments including office, warehouse, yard, and construction sites
- Work in confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and inclement weather
- Exposure to noise, hazardous equipment, and high places
