Job summary

Dobbs Equipment, LLC is seeking an experienced Service Technician to repair, diagnose, overhaul, and recondition heavy equipment and components for our customers and dealership. You will work in a shop or on-site setting, following safety rules and maintaining a clean, organized work area while reporting to the Service Manager.

The role requires the ability to read technical manuals, perform inspections, and communicate effectively with teammates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years related experience and/or equivalent
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Must have valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Forklift certification preferred
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals
• Develop skills in disassembly, assembly and repair of components and machines

Responsibilities

• Repair, diagnose, overhaul, and recondition heavy equipment and components.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a safe work environment.
• Prepare reports and forms; track time, parts, and supplies.
• Direct work of helpers or trainees and provide instructions.
• Operate trucks and equipment with care and caution.
• Communicate with Service Manager on additional work required.
