Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic to maintain a fleet of heavy construction equipment, class 7 and 8 trucks, and specialty equipment in a shop and field environment. This is a union role.

The ideal candidate will perform inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and welding/fabrication, with responsibilities expanding as needed. CDL A is preferred and the candidate should have a valid driver’s license and own tools.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• CDL A, preferred
• Must have own tools
• Welding/fabrication experience
• ASE certification preferred
• Construction equipment experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy equipment inspections and repairs
• Diagnose and repair of any breakdowns
• Complete preventive maintenance
• Weld and fabricate on equipment and tooling
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
