MaineGuide in Auburn, ME is seeking an Auto Body Technician to maintain our heavy equipment fleet. You will perform structural repair, cosmetic refinishing, and panel work with MIG welding and fabrication skills to deliver high-quality results.

This in-person role requires experience with auto painting, parts installation, and thorough inspection to determine repair methods. A strong work ethic, safety awareness, and ability to lift heavy objects are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as an automotive body technician.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques.
• Skilled in use of hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, and automotive painting tools.
• Experience with auto estimating, auto glass replacement, and automotive parts installation is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using advanced fabrication techniques.
• Use MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to repair or replace damaged panels and structural components.
• Conduct auto painting, sanding, and automotive refinishing using airless paint spraying and sanding tools to achieve a flawless finish.
• Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools.
• Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify damage, assess repair needs, and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and auto parts installation while adhering to safety standards.
