Wallenius Wilhelmsen in Sanford, NC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Assembler to finish assembly of heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air tools. You’ll unpackage, install parts, and operate equipment to advance the build.

Candidates must read manuals and schematics, understand hydraulic and electrical systems, and lift up to 50 lbs while working outdoors in all weather. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate heavy equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes.
• Read and interpret manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems for equipment.
• Sufficient hand dexterity to operate tools and withstand vibration.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 15 ft.
• Ability to walk/stand throughout the full workday in varying weather.
• Current valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assemble heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air tools.
• Unpackage, install, and remove machine parts.
• Drive and operate equipment to facilitate assembly.
• Work outside in all reasonable weather conditions.
• Read and interpret machine manuals and schematics for assembly.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and safety regulations.
