Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a Heavy Equipment Assembler at our Sanford, NC processing centre to assemble heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools.

You will read manuals, install parts, operate machinery, and adhere to OSHA safety standards while working outdoors in various weather. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, based on experience, with company benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Read and interpret machine manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems for construction equipment.
• Sufficient hand dexterity to operate power tools and withstand vibration.
• Ability to lift overhead 50 lbs and work at heights up to 15 feet.
• Current valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete assembly of partially built heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools.
• Unpackage, install, and remove machine parts.
• Drive and operate equipment including backing up, tilting or raising attachments for assembly.
• Work outside in all reasonable weather conditions.
• Read and interpret machine manuals and schematics for assembly.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety regulations.
