Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen, a global shipping and logistics leader, is hiring a Heavy Equipment Assembler in Brunswick, GA. Starting pay is $23.00 per hour, with opportunities to work on top-of-the-line heavy equipment in our processing center.

You will assemble equipment, install components, and operate tools or machinery while following manuals and safety procedures. Physical work, outdoor conditions, and adherence to OSHA standards are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with assembling heavy equipment and understanding manuals/schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems used in construction equipment.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and read technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete assembly of partially built heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools
• Unpackage, install, and remove machine parts
• Drive and operate equipment including backing up, tilting or raising or lowering attachments
• Work outside in all reasonable weather conditions
• Read and interpret machine manuals and schematics for assembly purposes
• Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety regulations

Starting pay is $23.00 an hour depending on experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Complete assembly of partially built heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools
• Unpackage, install, and remove machine parts
• Drive and operate equipment including backing up, tilting or raising or lowering attachments or other machine movements to facilitate proper assembly
• Be able to work outside in all reasonable weather condition
• Read and interpret machine manuals and schematics for assembly purposes
• Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety regulations

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment , forklifts, overhead cranes
• Ability to read and interpret machine manuals and schematics
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems for construction and agricultural equipment
• Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to operate a sledgehammer, power tools and withstand vibration of tools
• Ability to lift overhead 50 lbs and climb to/work at heights of up to 15 feet
• Ability to complete a full workday walking and/or standing in all reasonable weather conditions
• Current valid driver’s license
