Job summary

Sedigwick is hiring a Heavy Equipment/Specialty Desk Appraiser to assess damage and prepare repair estimates for claims. You’ll review photos, documents, and repair options, collaborating with repair facilities to ensure accurate, timely resolutions.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of experience with heavy equipment (including one year in appraisals), and proficiency with appraisal software and Microsoft Office. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; licenses as required.
• 3 years of experience, including at least 1 year in heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and appraisal software.

Responsibilities

• Review photos, documentation to assess damage.
• Prepare repair estimates using approved software.
• Evaluate repair vs. replace decisions and parts usage.
• Determine whether vehicles are repairable or salvage.
• Collaborate with repair facilities to process supplements.
• Negotiate scope and pricing with repair facilities.
