Job summary

Interstate Towing in Massachusetts is hiring full-time and part-time Heavy-Duty Wrecker & Recovery Operators who take pride in handling the toughest calls on the road. You will respond to dispatch, operate heavy-duty wreckers, and recover tractors, trailers, and commercial vehicles from accidents and breakdowns.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and proven experience operating heavy-duty wreckers.
• Real recovery skill - winching, rigging, rollovers.
• Comfortable with electronic equipment and dispatch/telematics software.
• Clean driving record with no recent violations.
• Able to handle traffic and varying weather.
• Reliable and ready to respond on call.

Responsibilities

• Take calls from dispatch and respond to the scene quickly and safely.
• Operate heavy-duty wreckers to recover tractors, trailers, and commercial vehicles.
• Transport vehicles to destination or impound yard.
• Inspect truck, perform preventative maintenance, report defects.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and recovery documentation.
• Operate safely according to size, weight, hours-of-service and company policy.
• Represent Interstate professionally on every call.
