Job summary

Wyoming Army National Guard seeks a Surface Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and overhaul of a variety of vehicles and equipment. Work includes diagnosing failures with engine analyzers and diagnostic tools, removing engines, and performing major repairs in remote locations.

A Title 32 dual-status technician position is offered. Qualifications include experience with heavy-duty equipment, ability to read repair manuals, and willingness to relocate at times.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures using test equipment.
• Familiarity with disassembly and reassembly of engines and major assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles.
• Disassembles engines and major assemblies and services fuel, hydraulic, and oil systems.
• Performs readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and equipment.
