Responsibilities

• Remove spots from carpets, perform bonnet and extraction carpet cleaning, dispose of trash and assist with hazardous waste collection.
• Operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners and shop vacuums, and you will wear adequate personal protective equipment when working with chemicals and equipment.
• Cleaning hotel rooms, hallways, common areas and other areas.
• Keeping inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance.
• Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment.
• Labeling and measuring chemicals correctly; operating chemical dispensing units.

Requirements

• This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying noise levels, the severity of which depends upon work volume.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests as well as all levels of employees.
• Ability to clean floors and replenish soft and hard supplies.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently move from floor to floor as needed.
• This position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds so as to be able to perform floor cleaning duties as needed.
