Job Summary:

The Heavy Duty Diesel Preventative Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and longevity of our clients' fleets.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance services, including:
• Oil and filter changes
• Lubrication of chassis and components
• Inspection and replacement of air, fuel, and coolant filters
• Brake inspections and adjustments
• Tire inspections
• Fluid level checks and top-offs (coolant, transmission, differential, etc.)
• Inspection of belts, hoses, and other components for wear and damage
• Diagnostic checks and reporting on vehicle condition

Accurately document all maintenance and inspection findings.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Communicate effectively with service advisors and other technicians.

Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify potential issues.

Perform road tests as needed.

Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and advancements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in heavy-duty diesel preventative maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel, electrical, and cooling systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and schematics.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Valid driver's license (CDL).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• [Relevant Certifications: ASE certifications, manufacturer certifications, etc. are a plus].
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
