Job summary
Waste Pro of Florida is seeking a Diesel Mechanic B - Heavy Duty Fleet Technician for the 2nd shift in Clermont, FL. The role involves diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems across heavy and light trucks, including CNG, and may include welding.
Job duties include communicating with drivers, completing repairs per DVIR, and following safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
- Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
- Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
- Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
- Proficient in using Diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical problems and repair equipment to maximize safe operations.
- Communicate issues with managers/drivers and discuss preventive techniques.
- Complete all required paperwork promptly and accurately.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
- Use vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
- Maintain high ethics and dependability.
