Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Sayre, OK is seeking a part-time Tire Technician to mount, balance, rotate tires and perform mechanical repairs on trucks and passenger vehicles. The role includes responding to roadside calls, handling TPMS, and maintaining inventory, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

You will receive on-the-job training and benefits, with flexible hours and potential overtime. A valid driver’s license is preferred and physical work is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Overtime may be required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing between 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across various vehicle types: passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers, including commercial tires, HVAC systems, brakes, PM inspections, drivetrain, and electrical systems.
• Conduct fleet inspections and routine maintenance.
• Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic regulations.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a service truck when needed.
• Use and maintain Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).
• Assist with inventory loading, unloading, and physical counts.
• Participate in ongoing training, follow safety protocols, and uphold company policies.
