Job summary

Watco in Houston, TX is seeking a Heavy Duty Tire Technician to service and balance tires on company units and equipment. You will dismount, clean wheels, and perform tire-related services while keeping the area organized.

Starting pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, DOE. The role requires a valid driver’s license, a TWIC card or the ability to obtain one, and the ability to stand for 8 hours. Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and on-the-job training at Watco.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to be insured.
• Must have a TWIC card or able to obtain one.
• Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours or more.
• Must have a communication to supervision in a timely fashion if problems or questions should arise.
• Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work safely.
• Must be able to work in a result‑orientated, fast‑paced environment as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Service Commercial Tires, including dismounting, mounting, and balancing commercial, industrial, and light truck tires.
• Inflating tires to prescribe PSI per load requirements.
• Determine repairable tire conditions and perform repairs as needed.
• Clean and maintain service equipment, maintenance on tools, and all other company property.
• Properly execute required service tickets and submit paperwork as required.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements.
• Wear proper PPE and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
