Job summary

City of Cleveland is seeking a Heavy Duty Technician to inspect, repair, adjust, and service trucks and other motorized equipment 20,000 GVW and over. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred training in heavy-duty truck and diesel repair and at least two years of related experience. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Education can be substituted for experience.

A high school diploma or GED is required. A diploma from a High School or Trade School with training in heavy duty truck and diesel repair is preferred. Two years of full time paid experience in repair and maintenance of motorized heavy equipment 20 000 lbs. GVW and over is required. Must have the appropriate tools to perform required duties. A valid State of Ohio Drivers License is required an Ohio Commercial Drivers License is preferred. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds. A high school diploma or GED is required. A diploma from a High School or Trade School with training in heavy duty truck and diesel repair is preferred. Education can be substituted for experience. A valid State of Ohio Drivers License is required an Ohio Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
