Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation's Belterra Park Cincinnati location seeks a Heavy Duty Porter/Floor Person to maintain clean and inviting public and back-of-house areas.

You will operate cleaning equipment, respond to guest requests, and uphold department standards, including uniform policy and safety guidelines. This role requires a high school diploma and 1 year of cleaning experience, with potential weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or certificate from Educational Institute.
• 1 year experience in the cleaning field with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to guest service requirements and department policies.
• Clean restrooms, mirrors, sinks, and floors; empty trash and sweep/mop.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as extractors, auto scrubbers, buffers, lifts.
• Respond to guest requests or connect them with the right person.
• Maintain uniform appearance and use of equipment and chemicals safely.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Description

HEAVY DUTY PORTER/FLOOR PERSON

Job Functions:

• Adhere to guest service requirement listed above
• Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards
• Clean restrooms. mirrors, sinks, counter tops, cigarette urns and toilets
• Empty trash bins and pick up loose papers from floors, sinks and counter tops as well as sweep and mop floors.
• Remove all trash to exterior trash points
• Remove snow for trash run
• Replace toilet tissue and refill paper towel dispensers
• Replace toilet tissue and refill paper towel dispensers
• Clean and polish all furniture, marble, brass, brass floor plates, and entrance door brass and kick door brass plates
• Clean brass, lighting, walls and carpeting
• Clean and dust all lighting and lampshades
• Vacuum flooring, clean windows, clean window ledges and clean team member restaurant floors, and sanitizes all guest and team member areas
• Sweep, mop, buff, vacuum, dust and wax floors
• Able to operate all types of cleaning equipments including riding equipments such as extractors, auto scrubbers, buffers and overhead lifts
• Respond to reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance
• Adhere to standards and operating procedures as outlined in the Belterra Park EVS Manual.
• This is a uniformed position, which requires the team member be in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty
• Be familiar with and ensure safe and proper use of all equipment and chemicals.
• Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential and propriatary information disclosed by a Belterra Park entity or by a guest of Belterra Park
• Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self.
• Perform other duties assigned by the department Manager, and Shift Supervisor on duty

Required Education and Work Experience:

• High school diploma or certificate from Educational Institute
• Must have (1) year experience in the cleaning field with equipment
