Job summary

Superior Sales & Service seeks a skilled Heavy-Duty Mechanic to repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks and rail equipment in Plattsmouth, NE. The role offers shop or field work with travel to customer sites and some overnight stays as needed.

The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and capable of working independently while delivering excellent customer service. Training is provided for rail systems, and you will manage your own schedule with support from the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 36 months of fleet maintenance, diesel repair, or heavy-duty truck repair experience.
• Strong hydraulics and mechanical troubleshooting background.
• Experience diagnosing electrical systems and heavy equipment.
• Diesel engine and electronic diagnostic experience preferred.
• Must provide own tools and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and rail equipment, including hy-rail systems, booms, cranes, and braking systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Conduct diesel engine and electronic diagnostics.
• Manage and coordinate your own work schedule, customer appointments, and service bookings.
• Communicate with customers regarding service needs and repair status.
• Perform repairs safely in shop and field environments; follow SOPs and safety protocols.
• Complete accurate work orders, service records, and reports.
• Maintain company equipment, service vehicles, and tools professionally.
