Job summary

Kolar Tire & Auto in Helena, Montana is seeking a Heavy Duty Front-End Mechanic / Alignment Technician. You will perform two- and four-wheel alignments and diagnose and repair suspension and steering systems, ensuring alignments meet manufacturer specs and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of alignment experience, knowledge of steering and suspension, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. ASE certification is a plus but not required; a valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of front-end/alignment experience.
• Knowledge of steering, suspension and alignment systems.
• Experience using Hunter alignment equipment is a plus.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• ASE certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform two- and four-wheel alignments using modern alignment equipment.
• Diagnose and repair front-end components including ball joints, tie rods, control arms, bushings, and struts.
• Inspect suspension and steering systems and provide repair recommendations.
• Ensure alignments meet manufacturer specifications and customer expectations.
• Test drive vehicles to verify complaints and confirm repairs.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service writers and other technicians.
• Occasionally assist with tire installs and basic automotive services.

Position Overview

We are seeking a heavy-duty Front-End Mechanic / Alignment Technician to join our team.
