Job summary

Groendyke Transport, Inc. is hiring Fleet Technicians to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and tank trailers. Training is provided; both entry-level and experienced technicians are welcome.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently in a professional shop. Pay is $22-$32/hour, full-time with day, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience in diesel, heavy truck, trailer, automotive, or fleet maintenance preferred for advanced technician roles.
• Entry-level technicians are encouraged to apply.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking.
• Experienced technicians must provide their own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on trucks and trailers
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on heavy-duty trucks and tank trailers
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and ABS systems based on experience level
• Complete brake, tire, suspension, and trailer repairs
• Perform inspections and maintenance documentation
• Complete welding repairs as needed
• Follow all shop safety procedures and company standards
