Job summary

Empire Southwest seeks a Heavy Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, repair, recondition, and service a diverse fleet including medium and heavy-duty trucks. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose electrical, powertrain, hydraulics, and other systems in a shop setting, using OEM diagnostic equipment.

Prior experience with Cummins px9, ISX15, 6.7 Power Stroke is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Six months related experience in a similar role.
• Must speak, read, write and comprehend English.
• Safety is a priority in the work environment.
• Must complete eTRAIN test evaluation.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Own and maintain required personal tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, recondition, and service Empire's medium and heavy-duty fleet.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose truck systems.
• Identify root cause failures using electronic tools and schematics.
• Prepare service reports and manage repair costs.
• Maintain equipment in good condition and adhere to safety policies.
